The Canada Council for the Arts, Ontario Film Development Corporation, Ontario Arts Council, and bpNichol Memorial Foundation have honored my work with numerous grants. The writing of each of my full-length poetry books was supported by the Canada Council for the Arts.
UC Berkeley supported my creative and scholarly writing. Twice my poetry was awarded its highest literary honor, the Eisner Prize. The writing of American Urban Poetics won a President’s Dissertation-Year Fellowship in a UC-wide competition, and two UC Berkeley-wide Mentored Research Award Fellowships.
